Media Mentorship for Women

WELCOME

Applications for Mentorship Round 3 are now closed and the matching process is underway. Round 3 mentorships will take place for 6 months from Jan 2010 to June 2010.

The Mentorship Areas being offered in Round 3 include: Directing, Editing, Sound Design, Cinematography, Location Management, New Media, Media Law, Scriptwriting, Screen Composition, Technical Director and other specialized areas in which women are consistently under represented.

Please read the following Conditions & Guidelines before filling out the application form. Please note applicants are required to be WIFT NSW members.

MMW Programm

Media Mentorship for Women [MMW] is a unique program that establishes one-to-one mentor relationships between industry professionals and emerging women filmmakers who are seeking to further their careers in key technical areas such as Cinematography, Editing, Sound Design, Script Writing and other areas in which women are consistently under represented.

MMW is run by Women in Film and Television NSW a membership based non-profit organization. WIFT NSW is committed to improving the status of women, both on and off the screen, by supporting and advancing women working in the Australian film, television and related screen industries. WIFT NSW is part of a global organisation, Women in Film and Television International [WIFTI], which provides a foundation for global co-operation as well as a public voice representing and unifying our members worldwide [www.wifti.org].
